Let the Sun shine!

Look at these amazing kitchens.  The dining area in the first kitchen has the most incredible view.  Love the use of accessories especially the cushions yellows, greys and creams.

I would love to have this much sunlight flooding into my kitchen!

What a place to have your morning coffee!

Absolutely love this gorgeous banquette at Courteney Cox’s Malibu home.  Oh to be sitting there with a glass of wine!  The galley kitchen has fantastic hot dog windows.  The whole house is so open and frames those fantastic views of the ocean.  Take at look at Elle Decor.

Now, where should I put my seating area with lava fire pit (up here in Northumberland)?

Home Shopping: Elegant cushion covers at Jane Hornsby | The National

Home Shopping: Elegant cushion covers at Jane Hornsby | The National.

When the British interior designer Jane Hornsby was met with an overwhelming demand for her bespoke soft furnishings, she opened a small online shop to sell her creations to the wider market.

That was five years ago, and now Jane specialises in designing and making elegant cushion covers in luxurious fabrics: silk, satin, velvet, wool and linen. Her wool cushions mostly channel the trend for all things patriotic: flag-patterned cushions featuring the Stars and Stripes, the Union Jack, the Maple Leaf and city-inspired motifs such as the Statue of Liberty. I also like her Black Flower Silhouette cushions; they conjure up memories of English summer strolls.

Folk-style pom-pom trims are another big trend right now, and several of Jane’s newer designs feature this fun edging detail without crossing the line from chic to twee. For a rustic, country touch, have a look at her small selection of handmade leather heart decorations. Filled with sweet-scented lavender or calming camomile and backed with natural linen, they’d look lovely hanging on a door handle with a length of hessian twine.

Although they’re probably much too big to ship, the upholstered chairs are also worth admiring before you log off. Covered in plush velvet, these curvaceous throne-like show-stoppers have distressed wooden frames – perfect for a girlie bedroom.

Country Living Christmas Fair

We are very excited to be exhibiting for the first time at the Country Living Christmas Fair.  We will be launching some new designs at the fair.  One of which is our Mr & Mrs Buttons and Beads.

We are now on the count down, getting stock made, designing the layout of the stand, booking vans and so the list goes on.  The biggest challenge is sorting out the homefront, thank heavens for wonderful Grandparents!

So please come and visit us in the New Exhibitors Auditorium of the County Living Christmas Fair from the 9th – 13th November at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Marathon Man

Not that this has anything to do with Design, Interiors or anything related but I have to say what a very proud wife I am. Today my husband ran the Kielder Marathon. He did amazingly well, the weather was just awful, driving rain and fairly windy but he managed it under 5 hours – 4 hours 54 mins he shouts across the room. Very proud, well done Ali xxx.
